Cement Rendering

I did a cement rendering course last weekend (while Amy took the kids to the zoo). It was pretty challenging (blisters on my office hands) but good fun. There was a definite 'nack', to it and even after 8 hours I'm not sure whether I totally cracked it. Here's a picture of my final effort which I was pretty pleased with. It's going to be different proposition doing the house.....

I think it's spelt 'Knack' as in knakered. Anyway well done!

Plaster is much lighter to handle than cement rendering but I still think that good brickwork takes some beating. Bad brickwork is best rendered perhaps,

Yes, I think you're right. Knack as opposed to nack. I was going to call it 'skill' but I think that's something which experts have - mine was definitely 'knack'.

I've only done a small amount of plastering (patching) I think a full wall would be difficult to finish well.

Great! after you've perfected your skills on your house you can come and do ours. Free board if the work is good!
