My head weighs 5.1kg

Which I think is a fair bit more than the average (4.5kg)

You can calculate your own head's weight by filling a bucket of water and putting your head in it. The amount of water that is displaced equals the weight of your head as 1 litre of water roughly weighs 1kg. Does this mean that I've got a bigger brain?

Clearly you are getting desparate to attract comments!!

The 5.5kg must include the weight of solid bone in your head. Shake your head and see if anything inside there is rattling.

You can drown yourself this way,or even contract permanent water up the nose.

Is this the way that new fathers suffering from lack of sleep should behave? What happened to the water overflow? I hope you did this messy experiment on the balcony!
Love Dad.

Hey Trevor,
We've never actually met you, but we think you're bloody hilarious. Keep up the great work.
(And, as parents who remember the sleepless first months, we can also remember a time when doing something like sticking your head in a bucket of water seemed like a perfectly normal thing to do).
